E101 at XISTA
The day began with Invention ID, where participants worked on clarifying what makes their idea relevant and distinctive. In IP Strategy, the focus turned to protecting innovation and understanding how intellectual property shapes future opportunities. The Spinoff Guide session provided practical orientation on turning research into a company, followed by Startup, where the investor perspective brought clarity to what makes science ventures convincing and fundable. The course concluded with Financing, connecting invention, structure and capital into a coherent pathway forward.
What stood out most was the energy in the room. Thoughtful questions, open exchange and real curiosity about building something beyond academia. E101 continues to support the next generation of ISTA researchers in taking their first steps toward innovation.
